The 2025 Green Card Lottery Begins!
Exciting news! The 2025 Green Card Lottery (otherwise known as the Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery) application period is about to kick off this Wednesday, October 4th, 2023, at 12:00 pm (noon) Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). But make sure you don’t miss it – it ends on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023, at 12:00 pm (noon) Eastern Standard Time (EST)! 🗓️
Apply Early to Avoid the Web Traffic Jam! 🚗🚕
If you’re thinking of applying for the DV Lottery, make sure to get your application in early. When the deadline is approaching, the lottery website tends to get crazy busy and harder to access the application. Don’t miss out!
Where to Submit Your Application
The one and only place to send in your application is HERE. Also, take a minute to go through the DV 2025 Green Card Lottery Instructions to get all the info. And here’s the golden rule – applying is absolutely, positively FREE. Don’t even think about any website that wants to charge you. They’re just trying to scam you. 💰❌
What’s Required?
You’ll need a digital photo that meets some strict criteria to complete your application. But don’t worry, we’ve got your back – detailed instructions for the photo requirements can be found HERE. 📷✨
Important Eligibility Information
Not everyone’s invited to this lottery party. If you were born in a country that is listed as not eligible on the DV 2025 Green Card Lottery Instructions, sorry, but you can’t join in. But if your country of birth isn’t on that list, you’re in luck. Remember, it’s all about where you were born, not where you’re from now. 🌏📍
Double the Luck for Married Couples 💑
Here’s a tip: If you’re hitched to a non-U.S. citizen (including same-sex marriages) and you both were born in qualifying countries, BOTH of you should throw your luck at applying. It’s like doubling your chances. If one of you wins the lottery and gets a Green Card, the other spouse gets a shot at it too.
Don’t Forget the Family 👨👩👦👦
When you’re filling out the application, make sure to list your spouse and all unmarried kiddos under 21, including adopted or stepchildren. It doesn’t matter if they live with you or plan to join you in the U.S. Leaving them off the list means you all miss out on the DV. Make sure to check out the FAQ’s section in the DV 2025 Green Card Lottery Instructions if you have more questions.
Remember: No Guarantee of a Green Card 🚫
Keep this in mind – even if you score in the lottery, it’s no guarantee that you’ll get a Green Card. 🤞
