DHS announced that due to the recent tensions with Russia and the Level 4 Travel Warning Advisory, they will issue temporary NIEs to certain noncitizen nonimmigrants entering the US from Ukraine from February 12, 2022 until March 1, 2022. Entry will be permitted to the following noncitizen nonimmigrants from Ukraine who:
- are traveling with a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident;
- were physically present in Ukraine as of February 10, 2022; and
- possess valid travel documents allowing them to travel to the United States.
These individuals will be permitted to enter the United States without needing to show proof of COVID19 vaccination prior to traveling to the US.
