On November 26, 2021, Biden signed an executive order suspending entry of immigrant and nonimmigrant individuals present in any of the following countries where the omicron variant of COVID has been detected. The countries affected are Republic of Botswana, Kingdom of Eswatini, Kingdom of Lesotho, Republic of Malawi, Republic of Mozambique, Republic of Namibia, Republic of South Africa, Republic of Zimbabwe. This travel ban is effective as of November 29, 2021 until terminated by the President.
